Gaylen Ross (Director) is an award-winning documentary director, writer, and producer with over 25 years of experience, including Emmy-winning Blood Money: Switzerland’s Nazi Gold and multiple films that premiered at major international festivals like Berlin, Toronto, and Hamptons. Her notable works include Killing Kasztner: The Jew Who Dealt With Nazis (theatrical releases in US, Israel, and France), Dealers Among Dealers about New York City’s diamond district (PBS), and two China documentaries co-directed with Andy Cohen and executive produced by Ai Weiwei. She was named by The Indiana Jewish Historical Society as one of four Jewish women shaping Indiana history (her birthplace.)
Michael Rose (Originating Director 1952 – 2020) was an award-winning author, journalist, and filmmaker, who produced over 200 documentary television programs. He has the distinction of writing, producing, and directing the very first program to air on the History Channel. Based in Los Angeles, he served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the International Documentary Association and was a member of the Directors Guild of America and the Writers Guild West. He was a contributing editor to Documentary Magazine, and was at work on his second book, tracing the history of Look magazine.
Carol King (Producer) is first and foremost a long time proponent of
women’s rights. She is a Detroit native who built a career in public policy advocacy. She was inducted into the Michigan Women’s Hall of Fame in 2008 in recognition of her contributions to women’s rights and equality. Since moving to California, King has worked as Executive Producer with her late husband, Michael Rose, in their production company specializing in factual programming for television. She has overseen development, production, post-production and distribution of programs delivered to numerous networks around the world. Her desire is to use media to tell stories that move us to work for a more equal and just society for everyone.
Ben Shenkman (in the role of Aaron Sapiro) is known to TV audiences for seven seasons of Showtime’s Billions and series regular roles on Shondaland’s ABC series For the People and USA’s Royal Pains. He recurred on Curb Your Enthusiasm, and was featured in HBO’s acclaimed limited series The Night Of and Angels in America (Emmy and Golden Globe nominations). He’ll next be seen in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming JFK Jr. drama Love Story. Movie credits include last yea’s indie standout Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point, The Trial of the Chicago 7 (Gotham Award), Blue Valentine, Then She Found Me, and Pi. On Broadway, he appeared in Larry David’s Fish in the Dark, Sight Unseen and Proof (Tony nomination).
